How this site is funded

slovador.online is funded entirely by affiliate commission. This page explains exactly what that means, what we are paid for, and what it does and does not buy.

The short statement

Some links on this site are partner links (also called affiliate links). If you follow one and then buy something, the vendor pays Bovama stav s.r.o. a commission. You pay exactly the same price as you would have paid by going to the vendor directly — the commission comes out of the vendor’s margin, not out of your pocket, and it is never added to your bill.

How you can tell which links are which

Every monetised link on this site is:

• labelled partner link in visible text inside or directly beneath the button;
• followed by a short note saying that we earn a commission and that it costs you nothing extra;
• marked in the page code with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener", which is the machine-readable declaration search engines use;
• preceded by the disclosure bar that appears at the very top of every page.

Links that are not monetised — sources, testing laboratories, vendor documentation, regulators — carry no such label and earn us nothing.

What the commission does not buy

• It does not buy a verdict. No vendor sees, reviews or approves an article before it is published. Nobody has paid for a specific wording, rating or recommendation on this site.
• It does not buy silence. Our main article lists, in detail, features the advertised product does not have, and names the free alternative included with Windows.
• It does not change the price you pay, and it does not give us any influence over the price, the terms, the refund window or the renewal rate. Those belong entirely to the vendor.

What we are actually paid for

Commission is paid on completed sales that the affiliate network attributes to a click originating on this site. We receive aggregate reports — numbers of clicks and sales — from the network. We do not receive your name, your e-mail address, your payment details or any other personal information about you from the vendor or the network, and we do not want them.

What happens technically when you click

A partner link goes first to an address on this domain (/c/1/), which immediately forwards you to the vendor or its affiliate network. That bridge exists so the destination can be changed in one place. It sets no cookie of its own. Any campaign parameters already present in the address of the page you are reading are passed along so the click can be attributed; nothing is read from or written to your device to do this.

Once you arrive at the vendor’s site, you are on their site, under their privacy policy and their cookie practices, not ours. They will almost certainly set cookies. We have no control over that and no access to what they collect. Your browser sends them our domain name as the referrer and nothing more, because this site uses the strict-origin-when-cross-origin referrer policy.

Advertising standards we apply

We follow the principle behind the EU rules on identifying commercial communication (Directive 2000/31/EC and the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive 2005/29/EC): advertising must be recognisable as advertising, and the person on whose behalf it is made must be identifiable. In practice that means the disclosure appears before any promotional content on the page rather than buried at the bottom, and the publisher is named in full in the legal notice and in the footer of every page.
